Our Story

At 25, Jotaro went back to university in Thailand. During the summer break, Jotaro was looking for internship opportunities in startups but quickly realized that internship hunting is extremely disorganised. There was no central platform where students can go to find opportunities. He eventually ended up cold emailing dozens of startups to see if they were open to hiring students. To his surprise, many startups replied back and told him that they are open for interns year-round, but either never advertised it or had a small section on the website. Sharing this experience with Natcha, she suggested creating an internship board where these startups can get visibility to students from top universities in Thailand. Jotaro took a Udemy course and build a simple website and onboarded 15 startups on the platform. During the summer break, the MVP version was able to convert 17 interns. This became validation continue building together Tasket to help more students build their careers.

Launching the next version of the website on April 20202 the beginning of the pandemic, they saw the internship programs being cancelled nationally and saw the internship market vaporize in a span of 1 month. However, the students voiced their concerns about needing internships to gain credits to graduate. Upon discussion with the university board, many universities started to allow work-from-home internships. Tasket quickly shifted to become a work-from-home internship job board bringing in startups that already had remote working culture Today, Tasket is an internship and entry job board and a talent database where companies can get first dibs on top students and graduates. Tasket also has built ATS dashboard for early startups, together with a job application tracking system for students. Our vision is to become an ecosystem for future professional in SEA, a space where next-generation talent can find everything they need for career development; running from work experience, connections, learning and community.
